> *’That the actual world is a process, and that the process is the becoming of actual entities. Thus actual entities are creatures; they are also termed ‘actual occasions.’ - Alfred North Whitehead
A ‘Whiteheadian’ concept describing momentary pulses of energy, representing moment within a continuum of experience. From an organisms point of view, the experience of being is a sequence of relational events that take on different characteristics depending on how we observe them.
A being is a nexus point, which reforms / renews itself in any given moment through actual occasions of experience. The physical world is a series of events as well. We don’t live in a world of objects but of events that form subjects. We are an activity. Events themselves are not in space-time, they exist only in experience.
G-d is a subject experiencing a world. So is the landscape, a tree, an atom, an animal, and a human being. An actual entity is an actual occaision etc. It’s all the same thing. An experience is the many events of the past become one and increase by one. So that something new is added to the universe. Momentary subjective unity.
