The World soul or anima mundi relays the concept that soul being is everywhere and interwoven into the very fabric of all of existence. The anima is always female and serves as a changeless being of the forms. Anima mundi as a whole is mentality embedded in physicality. Plotinus even attributed time, to the anima mundi and says that it is an attempt to bring the divine into a lower level of reality.
Roszak states that the 'anima mundi' is the foundation of all theory that teaches us that nature and the cosmos are an ordered whole. Not chaos. Not randomness. But planned by a mind great than us.
