Geometrodynamics explains how things in space bend and move when matter and energy are around (like gravity). [[Holism]] fits into this concept because of the following: 1. Everything affects everything else. If you move one mass, you change the shape of space everywhere, even far away. 2. No fixed background. In [[Newtonian Physics]] the landscape (or in this case, space itself) isn't part of the story. But in Geometrodynamics, they cannot be separated from each other. Stars & planets are always entangled with space-time because they create it as they move. 3. Emergence of behavior. Gravity behaves the way it does because the entirety of space-time is bending and stretching to create it. ## Sources: - [[Matthews, Freya (2021) The Ecological Self]] - [[Spinoza's Ethics]] - [[Holism]]
