A culture that is deprived of a unifying cosmology will become unmotivated. A world that makes no sense, has no roadmap, no continuous connecting thread, is one is which there is no true agency. The only rational conclusion such individuals can come to is; self interest. This self interest reinforces apathy, alienation, and material interest from which an attempt to form an identity is sourced. Modern western culture is cosmologically and metaphysically adrift.
