Occasions are events that rise from prehension and in a series develop and recreate the organism over time.
- Occasions that redevelop a person over time give rise to the continuity of self and identity of self. Discontinuitites happen when an occasion has significant negative emotions attached to it.
- Emotion and interpretation are bundled together with our experience of each occaision.
**Transmission of Form** Each occaision (event moment in time) and each entity is distinct, in any given moment. The only thing that endures is the passing on.
There then should be a [[Continuity of Transmission]] where ideas, story, culture, etc. are passed on from any given moment. A renewal of those ways of being through time. However, while a culture can be a nexus of interaction between entities / organisms, a nexus does not have history. Collective history is a false past remembered and distributed between organisms which then selectively are developed into collective stories or narratives.
