Spinoza's text 'The Ethics' explains his philosophy that all of reality is one thing (God/Nature) a single substance, appearing in different modes. A tree is God/Nature and so is a human being or a rock or a car. He also goes on to explain that in order to become a fully realized being, they must live in a way that allows such a process to happen. Much like the [[Ecological Self]] of Arne Naess. ## Sources: - [[Matthews, Freya (2021) The Ecological Self]] - [[Roszak, Theodore (1992) The Voice of the Earth]] - [[@Baruch Spinoza]]
